Actually R12 is not harmful to the environment - The have proven this since the conversion... Also did you know catilitic converters dump more N+ into the atmosphere... My college chem. teacher did a lot of research on that crap... Any who -

Capri is right, there is something wrong with your system - get it check out.. You really need to bring it somewhere.. They can vacuum check it or use the sniffer to find any leaks...
