I have my spare mounted in the original position. Mine weighs 50 lbs. though. I also have the battery relocated to the trunk on the driver's side. That moves weight from the passenger side to driver's side as well as from front to rear. I imagine the battery weighs at least the 50 lbs. that the spare weighs.

I especially like moving weight from the front to the rear. With me in the car, I now have 53% in the front and 47% in the rear. The closer I can get to 50/50, the better I like it.
