Think about what you have written...do you really believe that Ford oil pumps fail every couple of months?

Hopefully, you've had a beer. What do other components look like, i.e. oil pump driveshaft? How much clearance is there between your pickup and the bottom of the sump? (Measure it with clay)
Is it a melling high volume? What was your oil pressure doing prior to failure?
