Also, DO NOT use a stock driveshaft with a HV/HP pump. AIN'T gonna work. Are you sure the pump is locking up, or are you just spinning off the driveshaft? Any crud in the oil pan that can get sucked up.

I GARH-UN-TEE ya I'd be ripping apart an oil pump to find out what the hell happened!!! And if it truly was (another) oil pump failure, someone else would be buying me a new one.

Calm down, have a cold one, go about it logically. I'm sure you'll come up with the answer.
