![]() I've read in multiple places that Patriot's heads are lacking in quality, specifically the valve guides leaking/coming loose. Most guys seem to like Fox lake or VT heads.
To answer your question, bigger is rarely better especially if your car is a daily driver. The larger the ports and valves, usually means the car will make greater power but it shifts the power higher and higher up in the rpm band and the lower end of the rpm band loses power. You need to deside what you want from the car. If max hp is your goal then get bigger, if you want an all around fun car that has more power, get slightly bigger. jmho. I'm going to headswap my 98 gt and get fox lake stage 1's and comp cams 262ah. I feel it will improve the power all through the powerband which will make a fun daily driver. jmho. Leon
