My car is lowered about 1.5" and I think it rides a little lower than that in the front because of the heavier 351W. I have Cobra R replicas (17x9) with 245/45ZR17s all around. I had to "finesse" the front fender lips to prevent the tires from rubbing on bumps and I was able to shave off the rear fender lips to give the tires room to move.

Tire Rack has a really cool fender lip roller that you can rent which I would recommend getting. I didn't do that but wish I did.

The a-arm rubbing can probably only be cured by getting tubular a-arms. My turbines would even rub after I lowered my car.
