That is what we did with my 88gt is try to make it look stock and make people wonder how I was pulling off 13.4 to 13.5 ET's on 225/60/15's only running a 2.0 to a 2.2 60ft.
We grinded the weld down and polished the intake so you could not tell it had been cut and re-welded; you could tell if you really looked hard and you knew what you were looking at but it looked great. I started off doing it because I could not afford much at the time but when I started winning races and I told them it was stock, seeing the look on peoples faces when I popped the hood; well I hade to do more.
