Assuming the transmission has the same bolt pattern, it should hold up. A stock 5.0 isn't gonna make a lot more power than an inline 6. Just make sure that you have the right motor mounts and headers to make the swap. I'm assuming this truck is a 4X2 cuz if it's a 4X4 that's a whole new world of problems right there.
