![]() Quality chrome plating is an expensive process and requires more labor than a straight polishing job - In order to look good, a wheel basically has to be nicely finished (polished) prior to being chrome plated, as any surface defect is magnified by the chrome plating process. That additional finishing labor plus the fact that the cost of supplies,labor and keeping the EPA happy makes the cost of running any good chrome plating shop in the U.S. expensive proposition.
