With just a regular cowl it would look like Tim's so I know how that would look. The reason I am choosing this hood is to be different. Everyone either has the Stormin Normin or a Cowl. I like the cowl look, but alos would like to have ram air. And with this hood I get both if I fabricate a collector. As for trading wheels. Let me think about it and I'll get back to you Drew.

![]() I like the car from the link, except for the engine. WAY too much chrome. I think chrome should be used to accent the engine. Too much just looks tacky.

I like the car in that link. And since it's a Vert, it's really no more than a Coupe body style with a canvas top. And in my opinion the ground effects look good on it, so I am not definate yet which way I will go, but I defiantely don't think that looks rice. There's a difference in subtle styling differences, and going nuts with spoilers and scoops in the bumper. I don't think Cervini's stuff makes a Stang look rice at all. It's all good stuff. And to me, personally, the GT and Cobra ground effects look too plain and "80ish". Yeah, it's an 80's car, but it's being built in 2002, and I'm not trying to restore it. If I do anything, I'll either make my car look like the first pic or the second one. I pretty much made up my mind awhile back on what I want, but I was just curious as to what you guys had to say about it. Rice or not, I like it and plan to build it. Ok, I'll quit rambling now. Your turn.

Oh yah, I've been meaning to ask you, what tires are you gonna run on those 17" cobra's? I know Nitto makes a 17 incher but I think your gonna need more than a pair of Nitto drag radials to hold that much power on the street. Is there a 17" ET street or equivalent? just curious

![]() I was planning on running some Firestone Firehawks. I believe Craig ran some 12 second passes on his Drew. He is the guy that gave you the hell ride in the maroon vert. They are VERY sticky tires for a street car, and killer in the curves.
I've decided to not go with the drag setup. I am going to set the car up for the curves. It'll still hook good because I plan to get a torque arm and panhard bar from either Griggs or Maximum Motorsports. It may not be getting me any 1.4 60' times, but at least I won't have to worry about having to slow down to 35 mph on the way home just to take a few corners. The more I look at that last pic the more I realize how bad of a Photoshop job I did on that one. I need to work on that a bit.

![]() Since you are going for the ultra clean look (great choice for such a nice notch)I would go for a neat cowl. Also,
![]() ![]() The rims look great, but make sure the gray you choose compliments the polished finish. I've seen some custom grays that look faded and cruddy when set off by shiney wheels. You said you were going with Mineral Gray correct? Judging from the cobras I think that will look fantastic, especially with those ghost flames. Are you going to use Kameleon for the flames? That would look incredible with lots of clear. Keep us posted, and can't wait to see the finished product!! ![]() |

![]() I can't remember if I've ever seen an SVO hood around here or not? And if I have they haven't been the SVO/cowl like this one. I do however see a lot of cowls, and Stormin Normins. And if "a lot" isn't enough another cowl hooded Stang will soon be hitting the local streets courtesy of a car lot near me buying from out of state auctions.
I've only seen this exact hood one time on a Stang and it was when we were coming back from Tennessee with my Coupe. It was in Frankfort Kentucky. After seeing this hood on a GT I said to myself I'll not settle for anything else. I don't think I've seen Kameleon Belle. Sounds like a color changing paint. Is that what it is? I was thinking a blue pearl with a drop or two of blue tint added for straight on color, while the pearl would accent it in the highlights. Explain this Kameleon because it sounds interesting.

![]() Sure thing! Kameleon is color changing paint...like Mystic! House of Kolor, PPG, and BASF are the most well known manufacturers of it. I think the word "Kameleon" may actually be the House of Kolor brand name, but I just use it to refer to all of them.

![]() That looks pretty cool. But for it to actually look it's best I would imagine a good healthy coat would need to be applied. I'm looking to take the original base color of paint and add a couple drops of blue to it and dust the flames on so they are barely visible, and only at the tip side of the flames. Then I'm going to lay a coat of blue or white pearl over the entire flame job, then cover it all up with about 4 or 5 coats of clear.
I'll be experimanting on my stock hood so when the time comes I'll try to get some very high quality pics to post on here to gather opinions on the colors.

![]() I know I'm all late and everybody already stopped replying to this thread (I been so busy this week that I wasn't able to reply earlier), but I'm still gonna give my opinion.
Getting back to the subject, 2FastLX, I like the first picture best. The second one looks good, but if I saw them both on the road, I'd give more respect out to the guy in the first one (your original Photoshop pic) than the one with all the ground effects (the second one). I guess this relates to why I like the Cobra a little better than the Saleen also.
