Thumbs down This new design

Geez, I've been unable to log on for awhile, but I really don't care for the new design. It takes forever just to get into the messageboard, then the old one used to highlite the posts you had looked at previously. This new one doesn't do that, and why can't you bookmark just he BB anymore? now you have to go through the whole thing just to get to this.

Yes, the bulletin board does mark what posts are new to you and which ones aren't. If this has stopped working for you, it's not the board, it's most likely that your cookie entries saved in your browser are corrupt. Go into "Preference" by clicking it near the top of the message board pages. Select "delete cookie enteries" on this page. Then go back into the preferences and tell it to save your preferences in your browser for 1 year.

I would also pull up your "Profile", and submit that afterwards also, even if you don't need to make changes. This resets everything with your cookie entries.

As far as the site goes, once you have visited the new site a few times it will be cached in your browser and load much faster. However, the layout only has to load one time when you come to the site, because once loaded it never changes, just the content does. In the long run, this makes the site FASTER any way you look at it.

Finally, it's only two clicks from the main page to the message board. What, that takes like 10 seconds.. How hard is that?

10 sec... I don't mind waiting at all, especially with the new design. I love this new look, it's very pleasing to the eye. I was so sick of all the yellow in the old design, thank you for removing it. Also I can't wait to see the new sections you will be posting. Everything seems to be working fine with this new page and will only get better I'm sure.

Congradulations on this great page! And thanks for giving me, and everyone else some place worthwile to spend time online.

Thanks cad614! I'm glad you like the site, as most people have expressed. Unfortunately, it's impossible to please everyone. I hope you'll be posting your Stang in the Users Rides when I put out to the public soon (Yeah, it's done!).

Thanks for the tips Dan! It does work better now, and I do like the absense of all the yellow. Thanks, after a few visits, I do like it better now.

No prob, Scooter. I knew some folks would freak out a little for a bit. It's called change, and it makes people edgy when they have to learn a new system [or cache a new site ]...
