![]() replaced the fenders on my 87 lx,
had it painted, went to put the lower fender extensions and mouldings on the lower front of the front fenders, the fenders have a different bolt pattern for the extensions, and the mouldings, WTF?? anyhow, the fenders appear to have a bit smaller wheel opening, than the 87s, ' when i look up fenders for an 87 it says in the mps site that 79-90 are the same, i know these are oem fenders from an 85 what gives?? thanks, very frustrated.... lxhatch |

Almost all of the extensions had different patterns. However the fenders are all stamped out of the same mold from 79-93 so the wheel openings ( unless manufactured by a hack artist....and in that case send them back ) will all be the same...and for the extension mounting holes, go get a drill. |

![]() thanks for the reply,
after checking things out a bit, i found my fender extensions, and the old front fenders were from a 91 or newer and i was trying to put the narrower extensions on there, no-go.. now that i know i have 90 and older fenders, the only problem i can see is the 87 belt mouldings, need trhe holes elongated a bit, probrably when i get the correct fender extensions they will fit properly too, thanks for the reply,, LX |
