Everyone's experiences with military life will differ in one way or another. The type and amount of work you do, as well as how you are treated, the quality of leadership, and the quality of living quarters in your unit will make all the difference in the world. I can't speak for the marines because I'm in the army, but I can tell you that everyone will have different opinions based on personal experiences. If you're already thinking seriosly about joining then I say Go for it. I'm sure you won't regret it.
