Default 1,700 lbs of C4

Friday morning I will be testing some new equipment for the Marine Corps Amphibious Assult Vehicles Mine Clearing System. We are firing 4 shots, with 1,700 lbs lbs of C4 per shot. Not at all the power that we (the US) just dropped on ol' ***-ama, but still fun none the less. I'll see if I can't get a pic of it when I get back. If anyone is interested.

awesome!

that sure beats the M80's that I used to blow stuff up with

You should target them at ricers? wouldn't be hard to target with the picnic table wing and bright-*** paint graphics

You a Combat Engineer?
Gotta love the line charge...Shot 50 (25 live/25 inert) of them during testing a couple years ago at 29 Palms. I was the testing team leader and got to fire every one of them! Post the pics when you get back!

Yeah, when I was a Private in 29 Palms, I drove around some dignitarys from Somalia, we went out to the ranges and watched Napalm drop, and other types of mass destruction from the air. I'll never forget it, man that was SWEET!

I remember those. Fun stuff. Ever chew it? Or heat your MRE's with it? C4 is the coolest stuff on the planet.

Later.

if you look at the pic I attached in my last post, you will see that a rocket is launched and tows the c-4 (attached to a rope like a necklace) pulls it all the way out of the tub and then drops to the deck. it its then detonated clearing a path through a mine field. Some of the new ones I guess fire more than one strand....

Fireworks are legalized here for about 5 days right around July 4th. Other than that, in Nebraska, they are illegal. But they are legal year round in Wyoming so we can just make a trip to Cheyenne (1 hr, 15 min on I-80) and pick some up....

Yeh I believe we have the same law for fireworks here too but if you light them up anytime no one really bothers you. You have to be 18 to buy them here but I was able to buy them no problem last year (when I was 16) so I'm fine. Roman Candles are cool. You chase each other shooting them at each other, nothing more fun then being stupid and shooting fireworks at each other.
