As for your clutch issue, well, I hit the brake a couple times when I first got my Stang. But, ever since, I have gotten use to it and haven't done that in a long while.

I guess you could have the pedals re-welded to a better position like you said.

Onto the steering linkage...sounds like drudis has good advice. A more expensive fix would be to purchase a Flaming River steering linkage. The linkage is very nice. You can order the linkage from many distributors listed in MM&FF or 5.0 mags.
