even if the tranny is completely shot, then its still a good deal.

The first thing to go on AOD's is usually the OD band. The rest of the tranny will be fine, but it just won't shift into overdrive. And with 2.73 gears then its not really a big deal, you can cruise around in 3rd gear all day.

I believe "posi" is actually a GM term. Ford's equivalent is the anti-slip or trak-lok or something like that. It's nothing special to have in that car, it came from the factory like that.

Is it a coupe or a hatchback? Coupe's are even lighter and therefore a little quicker. Personally I think the coupe's are also much better looking than the LX hatch's.
