Is it rich all the time?? I would look at power valve. What size jets??
How much vacumn do you have at idle?? If you install Holley or AFB [elderbrock]. I would use a 750 cfm. I prefer the MSD dist or, many will disagree with me here, the Mallory Unilite. I have never had any problems with either. Hope I didn't speak to soon!!!
