Got an 130amp alt. and electric fan- have a few questions

At my local alt/starter rebuild shop they recommended the 130 amp alt when our alt went out in one of our plow trucks. They gave us a little sheet that explains how to do it.

You just splice the two black with orange stripes wires (from original plug for original alt) together and crimp (a better idea is to solder a wire to the two wires and then solder a ring terminal onto the one wire, but this other way will work too) a ring terminal on the end and connect it to the big post on the alt. Next you cut the small white wire away from the original plug and connect it to a clip from the new alt (this is the regulator wire). This little clip might or might not be on the alt. Sometimes junkyards just cut and pull so they might have left the clip on the alt. The clip is a little grey clip that a single wire goes into and it plugs into the regulator. If not go to the local alt rebuild shop and ask for a clip for the regulator for a Ford 3G 130 amp alt, they should have them.

Also there are not threads in the new alt body so you will need a bolt and nut with some lockwashers to fasten the top of the alt. Some people said that the new alt needs some trimming to fit, on my plow truck it didn't need trimming, but it is a different setup.
