thats what i do..i align my clutch with an old input shaft from a broken t-5 and i put an old cut driveshaft yolk and stick it in the back of the tranny so it keeps the fulid in and i got something o turn if the tranny is being a b1tch..
ur lucky you dont got a tremec..those things are hevier than t-5's.. try holding the tranny up in one hand and turning the back of it with the other on a tremec...its not that bad on a t-5 but that extra poundage gets your arm tired if you cant slide it in quick
