No it wont hurt the car. I would put money its the passenger side connection at the manifold thats leaking. I had trouble keeping the bolts tight with my X-pipe and ended up having to use loctite on the nuts. Also make sure you used the gasket on that side. Now my only leak is a pin hole where I missed a spot when welding cats on x-pipe.
