The P is a great head for stock class racing, I run it myself, but the P/S guys are heading for the mid 10's with some of the other heads that are allowed in the class that will outflow the P with the craziest of port jobs. You can build compression ratio with the P's (in excess of 12.5:1 with flattop pistons), but some of the aluminum heads that are allowed have more potential even at lower CR. I think the three favorites of P/S right now are the AFR 165's, TFS TW and Brodix ST5.0. I think its going to take 10's to make the top half of the ladder in qualifying this year.
Be prepared to spin the motor too. Peak HP at 5400 just won't cut it in P/S any more. These are all-out, purpose-built race cars.
