I can't give you an exact figure but I can pass on what I know about the weights of other cars.
Been to the dump in my 65 ford F250 many times and it weighs just under 5000 lbs. Old VW beetle's weighed 1800 lbs. I race dirttrack Pinto's and by severely gutting them I get under 2000 lbs. Camaro's, GM Metrics and what have you come in around 3000 lbs in racecar trim. I'd guess 3200 lbs or so and I'll betcha the convertibles are heavier. They have to strengthen the floor so much because there's no top so they usually weigh more than a coupe. Fastbacks typically weigh more than a coupe too because they have to have some strong hinges to raise the back deck. |
