Lightbulb Black Dot mystery solved

The 'black dot' on the folder/envelope icon just means that a logged-in user will see a 'dot' on the folder icon next to the threads that they have already participated in.

So, when you post on a thread, you'll see a 'black dot' on the folder icon.

Hope this finally clears up the 'Mystery of the Black Dot'.
