![]() I might as well ask this question since no one else has...but why are you so set on getting an automatic transmissioned GT? Manual trannied Mustangs stock for stock easily smoke the automatic ones. Although in traffic and such an automatic is nice, but it's not that hard to learn to drive a stickshift car well.
oh.....and if it's worth anything, if you want to modify the car for less money, then the 5.0L is the way to go, but if you'll have some money, the 4.6L is a very good engine and will eventually have as many if not more aftermarket support than the 5.0L does. Changing to later model heads, Bullitt intake/throttle body and a good 9 psi supercharger will get you TONS of power and shouldn't be all that expensive to purchase and install (well, at least in terms of getting all that power).
