Hmmm...my pressure guage has been doing the same thing. I haven't yet verified this with a mechanical guage.
Also, when I did an oil/filter change (5 qts) I wind up with too much oil according to the dipstick. I did change the oil when the engine was completely cold, so maybe there was some old oil left over. I'm going to watch the guage tonight and let you know exactly how it behaves.
