Well

#1 Windsor Jr's and Sr's do not have good peak flow when compared to the AFR's or TFS's.

#2 Windsor Jr's and Sr's have crappy flow curves, being very linear in flow rate as lift increases, much like stock heads.

#3 Windsor Jr's and Sr's have very large runners, which as a general rule makes for shitty port velocity and reduced low end performance.

#4 Windsor Jr's and Sr's are iron. Aluminum heads make it easier to run advanced timing, lighten the engine, and use forced induction.

The Windsor castings heads are built with flow and dimensions much more like the old 1960's technology. So, in my opinion spending $800 on the old iron heads, $1000 or $950 even for the TFS is a pretty good deal.
