I haven't had a chance to pull the valve covers off yet to check the numbers on the heads, but I got the numbers from the intake manifold (D50E-9425-GA). Info I've seen tells me this was made in 1975, Is that correct? The 2 barrel carb is an autolite (C8ZF G - E 8D 10). I'm told it is a 1968? The single point distributor is an Autolite 12127, part number prefix looks like (C9AF), part number suffix is R, assembly code is (8M5). Does anyone recomend installing Pertronix's igniter unit or any other brand or other options. On the engine identification numbers above the starter, does the starter have to be removed to see these or am I blind?
All help and ideas are greatly appreciated, Forease
