Thunderbolt makes a good point. The 67 model 66 casting is one of the more rare HiPo's. More people bought the 320horse 390 in 67 because it was cheaper. At the same time, the beefier bottom end of the HiPo will withstand more abuse than a standard 302, so it's a viable candidate for a build up. The 271 horse is probably a bit optomistic by todays standards, the Ranger I have with the 66 HiPo is probably the slowest vehicle I own, but it's ability to wind til the cows come home makes it one of the funnest rides I have too.
