![]() Not really, especially after you do a close inspection of the two. The GT-40 has a REALLY small cross section in the plenum, where the air has got to make the 180 degree turn before entering the runners. I think this is the real restriction in the GT-40. The cross section of the Explorer is much broader here, allowing the plenum to fill smoothly and hence feed the runners smoothly. The RPM beats them both in this area plus it has much straighter runners.
