Hey Joey, the engine should be okay as long as it isn't consuming much oil and blow-by hasn't become prevalent. If you're using more than a quart every 500 miles or so, then maybe the engine isn't ready. If there's any question, I'd suggest having a shop do a leak down test to determine the condition of the rings and valve seals.

I'd also recommend 1 range colder spark plugs, and new ignition components and fuel filter. You may need a bigger radiator depending on the climate you live in.
