![]() These are the GT-40 heads used on the '93 Cobra and H.O. marine motors. The "GT" should be cast into the head adjacent to the number 1 spark plug hole.
The head was originally designed in 1989 by Ford for the proposed limited edition 25th anniversary Mustang. However, when Ford decided not to produce it, the cast-iron GT-40 heads were used in marine engines and offeredy by SVO until a milled version of the head was standard on the 1993 Cobra (deck-face milled one additional time and machined for additional pushrod clearance). They have 60.6-63.6 cc chamber volumes, and the heads should flow 195 cfm on the intake and 152 cfm on the exhaust at .5 lift (at 28 in. H20) as tested by Super Ford. Hope that helps. --nathan
