Unhappy Bad break

Nik:

Sorry about your damaged digit.

Hope it's not too painful and you heal up quick. Sounds more like a nuisance than anything else.

I fell (slipped on ice) and landed on my face some years back. Broke four facial bones but almost no pain. Looked awful. They were repaired with micro-surgery. They make a tiny incision (near my eye) and used a mini-camera to enable the surgeon to see inside and to do the repair. They repaired the four bone breaks with titanium wire (still there). Big-time surgery - couple of hours - but they did a fantastic job and fixed all the breakage - with no scars. Quick healing time, too. I consider my self lucky that damage was repairable as I didn't go to the doctor for almost two days because I had little pain and thought I simply bruised my face. Had it not been repaired, I could have ended up looking like Quasimodo - or worse.

No jokes, please.

Never underestimate me

Yeah, I guess we won't!
