What happens when you remove the spout for timing is you take the ignition advance away,that tells me you're timing is retarded too much from the start.You might be a tooth off,and you're idle should be higher.Don't forget that anytime you change to a "hotter" cam you're idle will never be
as it was when stock.(hope you degreed the cam in correctly)
