All,

I'm the other guy that had the 3.55's installed. We set the backlash to 12000's of an inch. Gears are loud. no sound to about 40 mph then the whine. also whine when I use the engine to slow the car down. The gears were new from summit, we reused our bearings. All bearings looked real good. This is scaring the heck out of me. Have only gone about 5 miles w/the car. Dont know what I should do.

And I wasn't the knowlegeable mechanic - he says we should wait and they'll calm down after 100 or so miles. Another local guy told me that we could wreck the gears if we keep driving the cars.
