When I first took my car out I, of course, took it slow to get the feel for it. I first ran a 13, then 12, then an 11 (big difference from the previous), then 10, and then 9's.

My first dip into the 9's produced two consecutive 9.98's. After I bolted on the vacuum pump I really got a shock, so much so that I let off at about 400 feet before the finish (I know I know, I am still kicking myself!!).

Anyway, this pass generated a 9.78 but would have likely produced an E.T. in the 9.50 range. Let me tell you though, when you get down there you can tell a big difference in just a matter of tenths of a second.

I just picked up my backhalved 2001 yesterday and managed to shed about 700lbs from my old 89'. Should get me into the 8's on the motor. Can't wait to see how this one feels!!
