![]() All 302's built after 1979 have an imbalance that requires a balancer with a 32 (or 34, I don't recall exactly) ounce added balance weight, and a flywheel with a 50 ounce added balance weight. All 1979 and earlier 302's required a 28 ounce balance weight on both the balancer and the flywheel.
You would be better off if you could get the balancer and flywheel that were on the truck, but if that's not possible, just make sure you do have the correct ones. Take care, -Chris
