Things to look for in this case are the vacuum lines, EGR, and replacing the O2 sensors is basically a given. If they are 15 years old, they are definately way overdue for replacement.

I'd replace the O2 sensors, clean the injectors, make sure the EGR isn't plugged, check the vacuum lines to make sure they are in good shape, and head back.
