The K&N air filler did not help much,probably gave you 5 hp. Try changing the exhaust that will help the car out, flowmaster mufflers and a h-pipe will make the car feel alot better and sound better. Then later on change your gears and the car will be a great to drive. I have done all these things to my 97 gt and love it, drive it everyday. good luck
