Default oil pressure

I would like to know your mileage as well. Your problem may be a bad sender on the factory gauge or may be a low oil pressure issue that warants concern. As we all know the inaccuracy of the factory gauges, I would install one from Autometer and place the sender in the space presently occupied by the facotry sender. You could also try replacing the factory sender, but in the end you would still be working with a questionable gauge. The autometer will give you a true reading rather than just H and L and you will be able to get a good read on your motor from there. Oil pressure gauges only cost around $40 from Summit. If you don;t want to disable the factory gauge, you can build a simple T fitting with parts from Home Depot and run both senders that way. Let us know how it goes.
