the stock rev limiter is 6250RPM. So I'm sure your tach is just off and you arent quite there yet even though its reading 6500
With the stock cam, mine always ran the best at the track shifting it at like 5400 (on an autometer tach). And seeing how our combo's are pretty much the same, thats what I would reccomend for you too. good luck - Drew
