![]() I don't know if they'd handle the torque load if they had such a low first gear ratio.
The original T-5 for the 5.0 was rated for 260lb/ft of torque. That was because of the weak needle bearing input shaft, and the weak 3.35:1 first gear. Neither the Turbocoupe or the SVO delivered powerful low end torque, which is probably why they held together. And yes, the 4 banger input shaft is different from the 5.0. |
