![]() Launching in second is a sure fire way to toast your clutch, not to mention kill your 60' times. Your final drive ratio will only be around 8.20 (1.99 x 4.10) instead of closer to 13.0 (3.35 x 4.10). It sounds like you need to work on your launch rpm and possibly suspension in general. Try bringing the launch rpm down to the point where the motor bogs, then work back up until you find the rpm where you get just about 1 spin on the tire without the engine bogging. I've got a friend with stock suspension (no four link or ladder bar setup) with a 383 stroker, 300 shot and ET streets that pulls low 1.3 60' times off the bottle, so it can be done.
