The superchargers you are refering to are the Centrifugal supercharger, and according to my understanding a Roots blower flows alot of air at a slower speed while centrifugal supercharger flows less air but at greater speeds causing more boost so it is as effiecent as a roots but just works differently, i don't know alot about the Kenne Bell supercharger but i know i wouldn't want to a roots style blower like a 8-71 Disel or something sticking up through the hood of my newer mustang (i have one on my Roadrunner)
