Yes the tension of the cable on the release fork should keep it from moving sid eto side. I am going to do my clutch this weekend and I hve a steeda quadrant, stock cable, and billet firewall adjuster. I am going to lube everything really well and get a steel bearing retainer and I will hopefully have a smooth engaging/releasing , soft pedal, and great grabbing power.
