![]() Of course there is always the usual worn out u-joint and off balance tired which are the majority of the problem. But if you have an aftermarket gear/non factory ratio you also have the chance of vibrations occuring from the factory vibration dampener on the rearend(weighted for stock ratios). Its a big cast hunk of metal in somewhat of a wide U shape that bolts to the front of the housing under where the end of the pinion sticks out. This is of course not the cure to all problems, but after I put 3.73's in my rear the vibrations were horrible until I took it off. It won't cause any harm as most racers take them off anyway for weight reduction or throwing braces on the ends of the axle tubes up to the former weight mounts....
