I wouldn't do it personally because you'll be more prone to beat on it as well as with the extra power you're likely to wear stuff out faster. Not only that but with solid lifters you have to adjust the lash i believe they say every 10k miles or when needed, which althout it isn't horrible, is kind of tedious. I'd say go for it if it were a hydraulic lifter cam....but the solid lifters kind of pushed my opinion over the edge.
But then again, mustangs are meant to be driven and that's exactly what you're going to do so do whatever would make you happiest.
