The solid lifters don't bother me. I can get the valve covers off without removing the upper intake. I will just check them every oil change. I am just concerned about the life span of the valvetrain on a daily driver. I broke a valve spring when I first got the motor together and I don't know why. No coil bind or nothing it may of been a bad spring
