It depends on what the problem is. Try turning the air on and watching under the hood. See if the A/C clutch shuts off, if it does it means that it isnt pumping and that would be why your ac dies. This is what my guess would probably be since isnt the only real moving part in the A/C. But if it seems to work fine you may have to take your car in a see if the system is still pressurized. Sometimes the refrigerant leaks out and that might also do it.
