The salesman I bought it from said something about it being a special production thing, but he didn't know anything about it, I didn't even think about it till I read a letter in the April 02 MM&FF about this guy that was thinking about buying a "basic" GT (I can't quote verbatum since I tossed it....grrrr) and he was told by whoever was selling it that it was a "racing version" called a GTS, if I remember right MM&FF said no it wasn't a racing version but a 248A (maybe someone has this issue and can chime in)
Anyway I went and got the original window sticker and mine is a 97 with the Preferred Equipment Pkg. 248A, although it cost $1,000....dosn't seem basic for a grand This is pretty cool info, I never really looked at before, since I just got it.Humm.....I didn't know I had a SS exhaust....sounds ok tho Traction-Lok axle<===is that good? standard? I wonder how many were made?
