![]() well, first you put the car on jackstands, then you disconnect teh fuel lines running from the tank. Unbolt the gas tube (where you put gas into the car at) from the tank and then drop the tank by dropping the two metal straps that hold it in place. If there's gas in the tank, then you're definately going to want a second person to help you lower and raise the tank. It can be done with one. After you have the tank off the car, use a brass dowel to turn the lid until it can be pulled off. Then pull the pump out, disconnect it, connect the new one (probably have to splice two wires) and reassemble the opposite of dissasembly.
